Beck Technologies excels in R&D and prototype making. We are set up for
making almost any engine design imaginable with low costs and short production
times.
We can produce a wide array of products quickly and affordably, because there
is no middleman, and we are set up specifically for making pulsejets.
If you dont see an engine size that fits your needs we can build an existing
design to the size you need, or even design a new style of engine for your
application.
Size limits vary by design but generally anything from 8" long to as large as can
be shipped can be made. There is no real upper size limit to pulsejets.
We can also make mounting rigs to properly set up and hold the engine in place,
or full test stands for measuring engine performance with integrated push button
starting. For heating engines or other applications, we can also make full
enclosures, and systems, to your specification.
Some of the things we need to know in order to give you a fast and accurate
response are:
Application -
What the engine is going to be used for, thrust, heat output, high/low speed etc.
Size -
How much thrust or heat output will determine the size and material costs for the
engine.
Material choice -
Due to our local steel supplier thinking they have a regional monopoly, they have
inflated the price of 304 grade stainless so much that we can actually buy 321
grade titanium stabilized stainless from across the country, cheaper than 304.
All engines by default will be at least 321 grade stainless from this point on, if for
some reason you require a different, lower grade, or some other material, we
can work out a price quote.
Metals like copper or aluminum will melt quite rapidly.
For certain applications, we can also use metals such as 347 grade stainless,
Titanium and Inconel 625.
Starting Systems & Stands -
There are a number of starting systems and mounting / thrust stand
configurations to choose from, let us know what you are looking for and we will
help you figure out what will work best for your needs. Also pulsejets don't
absolutely need spark plugs in order to start, they are by far the quickest and
easiest way 99% of the time, but for certain setups they may be unnecessary.
Specialty upgrades-
We have years of experience with modifying and enhancing pulsejet
performance. Some of the many enhancements include water injection systems,
thrust augmentation and afterburner systems.
Destination-
We are based in the USA, almost any size engine can be shipped domestically,
by freight if necessary, though international shipping size limitations will
determine what can be shipped to you. Typically size limits for easy international
shipping is around 42" - 60" in length. If we cant ship large engines to your
location, and you are in the UK, Europe, or Australia we can direct you to a
fabricator with experience making pulsejets. We will not ship any items to a
country that the US has technology restrictions or embargo's against, or
items considered export restricted.
